   Bangalore- the capital of Karnataka, a southern Indian state ranks as the fastest growing city in Asia-thanks to the presence of home grown- global IT giants such as Infosys and Wipro and global IT major such as Texas Instruments, Microsoft, Google and others. It is also home to many companies earning the sobriquet - Silicon Valley of India. Situated at about 1000 meters above sea level, it is known for its salubrious climate where temperatures remain pleasant almost through out the year- with the temperature ranging 14 (minimum) and of 36 (maximum) degree C.

   The city has many imposing historic and modern structures- including the magnificent Vidhana Soudha housing the state legislature and the Bangalore Palace on a spacious 450 acres of greenery in the heart of this busy metropolis. Bangalore is also home to several word renowned centres of learning and research such as the Indian Institute of Science, National Aerospace Laboratories, National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Raman Research Institute and others. The city also abounds in picturesque parks and gardens such as the Cubbon Park, the enchanting botanical gardens Lal -Bagh, both situated in the heart of the city- thus earning another sobriquet- the Garden city.

Bangalore is very well connected by air, to most of the Indian cities as well as international cities- direct flights to some of the cities in Europe and Asia.
