Prof. N. Balakrishnan is currently a Professor and Chairman of Supercomputer Education and Research Centre and Professor in Department of Aerospace Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Prof. Balakrishnan graduated from the University of Madras with honors degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, a Ph.D. in Engineering from the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He has been working on the million-book project in collaboration with Cornell University. He was recognized with the Padma Shri award, is a fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences and also Honorary Senior Fellow of the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research.
